If you are going to be in the southern part of Texas then no worries because they have the Six Flags Fiesta Texas this park offers many of the same rides you would expect from other six flag parks but the San Antonio Park also offer some rides offered exclusively in the San Antonio park like the Boomerang and the Goliath.

It is not a trip to Texas if you dont go see a real live Rodeo. Back in the Day a Rodeo was used by ranch owners test their cowboys skills and as part of an interview. Now they are used for sport and have become very popular and are broadcasted all over the world. In the Fort Worth area you can find some of the largest and most popular Rodeos in the world. Here you can see real cowboys showing off there stuff for your enjoyment. And if you want to see one of these you should come early in the year.
Working on the Dude Ranch:
Maybe for you it is not about watching the Rodeo, its abut being the Cowboy. If this is the case you have to check out a dude ranch. You can learn to rope a cow and ride with the herd. You can also sit around the campfire and eat of the chuck wagon in the great Texas wilderness.

If the kids are not into swimming or catching some rays, they can play in one of the playgrounds on the beach. If you get hungry and did not pack a picnic there is nothing to worry about food stands are available with all your favorite foods and snacks.

With all the different terrain and beautiful weather that Texas has to offer many people enjoy camping out under the stars. If camping is not your thing then Texas also offers many fine and inexpensive Motels as well as many 5 star hotels and a wide variety in between.
