Taking a yearly vacation is important to make sure that you don’t burn out at work. Many people feel they can get ahead in the business world by never taking a vacation and putting in long hours. All this does is burn you out after 2 or 3 years. You will start to make mistakes and will get very agitated with things in your personal and professional lives. To avoid this I recommend a vacation at least once a year. This year I went to Texas.

What to do on Your Next Trip to Texas

Maybe you are visiting Texas to see family or maybe you are coming for a working vacation. There are many different things you can do to fill your spare time with fun and exciting activities. No matter what you are into Texas has lots of cool things to tell your friends about when you get back home.

Visit a Theme Park
Six Flags over Texas
If you are going to be in the Dallas Texas area then take a short drive and visit the Six Flags Amusement park in Arlington Texas. The park offers something for everyone. If you are looking to take you young ones on some bumper cars and maybe even the merry go round you will have several to choose from, and of the older kids want to have a heart pounding, adrenalin racing experience this park offers many of them as well. The park is open from March to January. Check the internet for the exact times.

San Antonio Texas
If you are going to be in the southern part of Texas then no worries because they have the Six Flags Fiesta Texas this park offers many of the same rides you would expect from other six flag parks but the San Antonio Park also offer some rides offered exclusively in the San Antonio park like the Boomerang and the Goliath.

Maybe you are interested in seeing some real Authentic Texas Cowboy Style Fun
Go to a Rodeo
It is not a trip to Texas if you don’t go see a real live Rodeo. Back in the Day a Rodeo was used by ranch owners test their cowboys skills and as part of an interview. Now they are used for sport and have become very popular and are broadcasted all over the world. In the Fort Worth area you can find some of the largest and most popular Rodeos in the world. Here you can see real cowboys showing off there stuff for your enjoyment. And if you want to see one of these you should come early in the year.

Working on the Dude Ranch:
Maybe for you it is not about watching the Rodeo, its abut being the Cowboy. If this is the case you have to check out a dude ranch. You can learn to rope a cow and ride with the herd. You can also sit around the campfire and eat of the chuck wagon in the great Texas wilderness.

While the boys are off acting manly, here is a bit about the Shopping Texas has to offer.
As the old cliché goes "Everything is Bigger in Texas" this is true about their malls and Outlet centers. Texas offers you every big name store from Neiman Marcus to Sears and many small Mom and Pop shops that cater to all your gift needs.

Spend a Day at the Beach
With over 600 miles of finely groomed beaches in the sunny Gulf of Mexico, Texas has some of the nicest beaches anywhere in the United States. Not only are the beaches groomed and cleaned on a daily basis they are also manned with life guards 7 days a week 365 days a year. If the kids are not into swimming or catching some rays, they can play in one of the playgrounds on the beach. If you get hungry and did not pack a picnic there is nothing to worry about food stands are available with all your favorite foods and snacks.

Many fine and inexpensive hotels and camping sites
With all the different terrain and beautiful weather that Texas has to offer many people enjoy camping out under the stars. If camping is not your thing then Texas also offers many fine and inexpensive Motels as well as many 5 star hotels and a wide variety in between.
